SAVE THE DATE! On Sunday, May 4, we’re taking church to the park!!! Due to a blackout date for the Z, we will NOT have services at our usual location at 9 & 11 AM. Instead, we are coming together for a special worship and baptism service followed by a church picnic at the beautiful Chesapeake City Park at 10 AM!
What: Church at the Park - A time of worship, baptisms, and communion followed by a church picnic!
When: Sunday, May 4th - 10am-3pm (see schedule of events below)
Where: Chesapeake City Park at Pavilion #8 (The Market Place by Basketball Court) - 900 City Park Dr, Chesapeake, VA 23320
What to bring: Especially, if you plan to join us all day, please come prepared!
Food side to share! Hot dogs + pasta salad will be provided. No electrical outlets or coolers available
We also recommend you bring some of your own snacks, beverages, and food, especially if you have food restrictions.
WATER - there are some water fountains and we will provide some, but last year we ran out quickly, so please plan to bring your own water supply!
Lawn/beach chairs or blankets to sit on the ground (limited seating in the pavilion)
Sunscreen and Sun Protection (hats, umbrellas or tents, etc)
Sports/Yard games to play with friends
Schedule for Church at the Park:
9:00am - Baptism Class at Pavilion #8 with Steve Ruckel (only for those getting baptized that day!)
10:00am - Worship service begins at Bagley Stage
11:15am - Baptisms at Bagley Stage
12:00pm - Hot Dog + Potluck Lunch at Pavilion #8
1:00pm - Inflatables open and activities available
2:00pm - Ice Cream at Pavilion #8 and Flag Football Game begins
3:00pm - Cleanup starts
