Welcome to Big House Kids!

The Big House Kids Team mission is to love all our kids like Jesus does, to partner with parents in their relationship with Holy Spirit and their kids, and to grow in community as we serve together. We are so grateful to offer kids ministry for infants through 5th grade. If it’s your first time, our team will take your personal information: guardian’s names, children’s names, birthdates, phone number, and any allergies of note at kids check-in. Learn more below about what to expect in BH Kids!

what to expect in big house kids

During classes, your child can expect spirit-filled teaching, a time of musical worship, AND FUN! Our infants and toddlers are in safe and loving hands who love to pray and play! While in our care, your child’s safety is paramount. All our volunteers pass a background check and go through a training process in order to volunteer. We also implement a name tag system with the guardian’s number for check in, which helps us reach parents who are in the sanctuary if needed for any reason. Additionally, we have a paid security officer and safety team in place to ensure our kids areas are properly monitored and kept safe.

The first time my family and I walked into Big House, we knew we were home. My husband, John-Michael and I had been praying for a place where our four kids, from college to middle school aged, would be able to find community and grow in their relationship with the Lord. That is what we found here.

I grew up in a ministry family where I served wherever needed, attended Bible School in New York where I met my husband, and have been serving with kids for over 20 years.

As Kids Director, I’m excited to be able to partner with families in teaching our kids about who Jesus is and how they can have a real relationship with Him, even at a young age. My heart is to study scriptures with the kids and see them have real encounters with the Lord no matter their age; so as they grow, they will know that they can call on the name of the Lord and He is there. And as they seek first His Kingdom, all else will be provided (Matthew 6:33) Thank you for allowing me to come along side each and every family and I’m excited to see how the Lord uses all of our kids to further His Kingdom.

I am originally from the Chicago suburbs, and moved here with my husband Seth, after finishing college at Liberty University. Big House was the very first church we attended when we arrived here, and we knew immediately that this was where the Lord was leading us. We love that every Sunday Jesus is glorified and that there is space for Him to move.

I’ve been involved in kids ministry since I was 12 years old! God has continued to grow a desire in me to serve the next generation and see them encounter Him personally. A big part of that was shaped during my time working at a summer camp where I learned what it looks like to depend on the Lord in my everyday life.

I am praying that at Big House, each child would experience the Lord in a personal way and that the Word of God would be sealed on their hearts. What we teach them now helps lay a foundation for the rest of their lives, and a foundation built on Jesus will not fail! I am so thankful that the Lord revealed Himself to me at a young age and it is such a blessing to be part of what God is doing in these kids lives.
