Anyone who is a current group leader, or wants to start a group, or host a group, (maybe you have the space but don't want to lead) you’re invited to join us on July 25 from 5:00-8:00 PM!

We have a blackout date on Sunday, July 5 and we’re so excited to gather at our building site, 3177 Virginia Beach Blvd!

This will be a Sunday where we get to put into action what we’ve been diving into as a church. We’ll gather together to worship, hear a call to action from Pastor Matt and then prayer walk around the building together.

See the schedule for the event above! Each hour, we’ll go through the same flow and you can choose what hour is best for your family! Come either at 9, 10 or 11 AM! 

We’ll have bearhouse coffee, family activities, and building tours. Spots to take a tour of the building are limited, so please click HERE to register.

Families, please note that we will NOT have BH kids and parents must be with their children at all times. There will be a kid-friendly snack to pick up, and activity for you to do with your child. 

We'll have some seats for you to use during each hour, but feel free to bring your own if you'd like to sit and fellowship! 

All young adults are welcome to join us for our Living Room Cookout on Monday, June 29 from 6-9pm at the Elliott's Home in Portsmouth (more details after you register!). We’ll have lots of time to connect and enjoy the summer weather! Pool will be open and available so plan to bring a suit and towel if you’d like. Also, there’s lots of lawn space for outdoor sports/games - bring what you have!

Most importantly, please bring a side or treat to share! Main entree and drinks will be provided.

We’re so excited to gather with the men of Big House at 6:30 PM on June 24. This gathering is for all men high-school aged and up to worship, fellowship, and get encouraged! Come with open hearts ready to receive from the Father!

After our church services at 9 & 11 AM, come join us in East Beach Norfolk on the Chesapeake Bay for beach baptisms and a time to relax and fellowship together! Bring your beach chairs, umbrellas, snacks, and the whole gang for a day at the bay in East Beach of Norfolk.

There is street parking throughout the East Beach neighborhood, just please be mindful of residents and their homes. We will be located between 27th & 28th Bay Street & E Beach Street access point to the bay. See directions below!

If you or your child would like to get baptized, click the button below to get on our baptism list ASAP! You will be contacted about our baptism class prior to the event and what to plan for!

On June 7th, we are having only one combined service at 10 AM at the Virginia Beach Convention Center down by the oceanfront. There is LOTS of space so plan to bring the whole family and invite your friends for this service all together!

When you arrive, parking is directly across and beside the Convention Center, then just look for our team and signs to locate our hall when you arrive.

Big House Church believes in the value of prophetic encouragement for the building up of the body of Christ. It has been a vision of ours to begin incorporating more opportunities into our church calendar to invite people to be blessed and prophesied over by leaders in our church!

If you’ like to be encouraged, then we invite you to sign up for a time slot for Saturday, November 1st between 9am - 12pm at the Annex to come and get a prophetic word from our team! Church attendees will be able to sign up for a 10-minute session with a team of three prophetic prayer ministers. During each session, the ministers will ask only for the person’s name, and then each will have three minutes to pray and share what the Holy Spirit is speaking. Attendees will be encouraged to record their words and take them to the Lord in prayer!

This event is led by one of our elders Frank Meadows, and Pastor Matt Ruckel. We’re excited and expectant to see how God pours out His love on His people during the event!

On May 10th for Mother’s Day, we are having only one combined service at 10 AM at the Virginia Beach Convention Center down by the oceanfront. There is LOTS of space so plan to bring the whole family and invite your friends for this service all together! We’ll have a special photo-op available for families to take photos for Mom ;)

When you arrive, parking is directly across and beside the Convention Center, then just look for our team and signs to locate our hall when you arrive. Main sanctuary will be in a ballroom not he first floor and kids ministry rooms will be on the 2nd floor (follow signs and volunteer directions)

Big House Women! You are invited to our next Harbor gathering on Friday, April 24th at 7 PM at New Life TOWN CENTER in Virginia Beach! This event is for the women of Big House and all of Hampton Roads. Bring a gal pal and don’t miss this night!

WHAT IS HARBOR?
Harbor is a quarterly corporate gathering of the women of Big House Church and beyond to connect in worship, protect one another through prayer & grow together in the word and the sharing of stories. our launch event will take place at the New Life Church TOWN CENTER location in the sanctuary from 7-10 PM.

OUTREACH PARTNERSHIP
Please bring a regular size shampoo and body wash to partner with our Outreach Ministry to love on the mama’s and families of Colony Mobile Home Park in Virginia Beach. You can also sign up to join the team and register for the next outreach in May! Learn more at bighousechurch.com/outreach.

CHILDCARE
Childcare is provided for nursing babies during the event ONLY if requested. Additionally, childcare will be considered up to age 11 for those with special circumstances. To request childcare, please email Hope Brooks at hope.b@bighousechurch.com by Monday, April 20 for consideration. Approval of request is required for special circumstances and available on a first come first serve basis.

We invite you and your family and friends to join us for our normal service times at 9 & 11 AM at the Zeider Theater in Town Center Virginia Beach to enjoy Christmas inspired worship and scripture readings, a special performance from Big House Kids, a brief message, and Christmas hymns by candlelight.

Big House Offices will be closed from Monday, December 22 - Saturday, December 27. We will resume on Sunday, December 28 for our last Sunday service of 2025.

It’s almost Christmas time!!! For youth group on Wednesday, December 10th we will host our annual Christmas party from 6:00-8:30pm. Dress to impress and get ready for some fun.

This is our last youth gathering for the year! BHYouth will resume Wednesday, January 7th!

All young adults (18-30) are welcome to join us for our Christmas Open House on Monday, December 1st from 6-9pm at the Dyer's Home in West Ghent Norfolk. Address is 1056 Brandon Ave Norfolk, VA 23507. There will be Christmas cheer and jubilee! At some point in the evening, we will take an evening stroll through the lovely West Ghent neighborhood to look at Christmas lights! Hot cocoa will be provided, but plan to dress warm if you join us for the walk.

Please bring a side or special treat to share! Main entree and drinks will be provided.

For parking: Please be mindful of neighbors and driveways! There are several one way roads in the neighborhood, so be sure to pay attention as you arrive. We recommend carpooling if you can!
