CHILDCARE

BH Youthhhhh! Plan to join us for our annual costume party on Wednesday, October 29 at youth group! There will be $150 in cash prizes for the winners. We will celebrate our month of communion and royal priesthood by sharing a Seder meal together. :)
Big House Church believes in the value of prophetic encouragement for the building up of the body of Christ. It has been a vision of ours to begin incorporating more opportunities into our church calendar to invite people to be blessed and prophesied over by leaders in our church!
If you’ like to be encouraged, then we invite you to sign up for a time slot for Saturday, November 1st between 9am - 12pm at the Annex to come and get a prophetic word from our team! Church attendees will be able to sign up for a 10-minute session with a team of three prophetic prayer ministers. During each session, the ministers will ask only for the person’s name, and then each will have three minutes to pray and share what the Holy Spirit is speaking. Attendees will be encouraged to record their words and take them to the Lord in prayer!
This event is led by one of our elders Frank Meadows, and Pastor Matt Ruckel. We’re excited and expectant to see how God pours out His love on His people during the event!

On Sunday, November 9th we will gather at 10 AM at the Chesapeake Conference Center for Vision Sunday!
Our aim for this Vision Sunday is to clearly present where God is leading Big House Church as we prepare for 2026. We want to give our church family a picture of settling into a new building, stepping into a vision that matches this season, and inviting everyone to take ownership through service, generosity, and faith.
This specific Sunday morning gathering is about unity in the spirit, clarity on the plan, and inspiring each person to see their part in the body as we move forward together.

This will be a normal Campus Ministries UnChapel experience in Regent University’s Shaw Chapel, featuring engaging worship and student testimonies of God’s faithfulness. This is a gathering on the National Mall in Washington, DC, for four days, October 9–12, in 50 tents of nonstop worship—one tent for each state—with thousands of worshippers, prayer, gospel proclamation, and commissioning every night.
On October 11, there will be a communion table the length of the whole National Mall in Washington, D.C.

BIG HOUSE CHURCH DETAILS:
Big House is chartering a bus to go to this event on Saturday, October 11th! Registrations are first come first serve so if you KNOW that you’re going, please register sooner than later. If you are unsure, please leave seats open for those who are able to make it until you are confident you can join. Anyone can meet us there as well and not ride the bus!
Time: Please arrive at the bus NO LATER than 6:30 AM!! Our 80 seat bus will be leaving from the Big House Annex (3177 Virginia Beach Blvd) at 7 AM (10:30 AM arrival time in D.C.) to attend the event from 10:30 AM - 10 PM and arriving back home around 1:30 AM.
Each person will be limited to one backpack or personal item per person!
Cost: Tickets for a seat are $40. All are also welcome to caravan with us to D.C. however you will be responsible for your own parking and transportation in the city.
Food: There will be a shared meal at the table before communion, everyone is encouraged to bring their own meals. As well as food for other meals and snacks.
Children: *Children of all ages are required to have their own seats and infants must be in carseats if they are riding on the bus. We will have some space under the bus for stroller storage. If you plan to bring a stroller, please email us at info@bighousechurch.com.

After our church services at 9 & 11 AM, come join us in East Beach Norfolk on the Chesapeake Bay for beach baptisms and a time to relax and fellowship together! Bring your beach chairs, umbrellas, snacks, and the whole gang for a day at the bay in East Beach of Norfolk.
There is street parking throughout the East Beach neighborhood, just please be mindful of residents and their homes. We will be located between 27th & 28th Bay Street & E Beach Street access point to the bay. See directions below!

We’re excited to give you the opportunity to explore our small group options and meet the leaders of our current and ongoing groups! Before and after the first 2 Sundays of September (9/7 and 9/14), take some time to connect in the lobby and join a small group if you haven’t already!
We Will Go missions trip will be all about serving our neighbors in Jackson, Mississippi. By giving of our time and effort to those who are less fortunate, we will be living out the illustration Jesus gave us in Matthew 25:31-46. There will be multiple food giveaways during our stay as well as prayer ministry time for the recipients. During the afternoon, we will have the opportunity to serve children in their after school program. It looks like helping with homework, Bible lessons & a safe place to play. We aim to learn as a team as well as be inspired to bring home this heart of servanthood back to Hampton Roads and meet the needs of our neighbors here at home!
Cost is $450 for adult and $150 per child.
This trip is family-friendly, and our leaders Ashley & Josh Pope will be bringing their kids with them and encourage participants to pray about doing the same!

All families and BHKids volunteers are welcome to join us at the bay in East Beach anytime between 3:30-7:30pm on Sunday, August 31st. Bring all your beach chairs, towels, games, and your own dinner! This is a time to have fellowship and celebrate our final days of summer as school starts again.

BHYouth will be joined by Living Room for this special evening of celebrating our new 6th graders into youth group and our graduated high school seniors into the young adult community!
Pizza will be provided! There will be lots of beach fun and a time to honor our rising students.
This workshop exists to equip the church to share with people who Jesus is, what He has done, and why it matters in their lives. This will be a day of training and outreach as a church community and will focus on overcoming the fear of man, loving others, practical steps to share the Gospel, praying for the sick, and much more. It’s the church of Jesus becoming love.

We are thrilled to host this multi-day seminar to explore what it means to be a John 4:23 "true worshiper" that Father God is searching for! Our sessions will include teaching, small group discussion, creative prompts, and times of corporate praise, worship, and prayer.
This intensive is open to anyone who has a heart after God, not just those who are musically or artistically inclined. We ask that those who decide to register plan to attend ALL of the intensive as each session will flow into another and is set up to build connection amongst all students.

Ladies! You and your gal pals are invited to three special worship nights just for us women in the 757! We will come together to worship the Lord and to receive the Father’s love together and bless one another from the overflow of His heart for His daughters. Come hungry and expectant to encounter God!
Women’s Worship Night Dates: Fridays, June 20, August 18, and July 15
Please note there is no childcare provided for these nights. We encourage you to come solo if possible, but if not, there is overflow space on the 1st floor if your babies/kiddos get restless and you need to take them downstairs for a moment.
On Pentecost Sunday, we are excited to have one combined service at 10 AM at the Virginia Beach Convention Center down by the oceanfront. There is LOTS of space so plan to bring the whole family and invite your friends for this service all together! Kids Church will still be available for Nursery-5th grade on the 2nd floor.
When you arrive, parking is directly across and beside the Convention Center, then just look for our team and signs to locate our hall when you arrive.

On Wednesday, April 30 our young adults community (Living Room) are crashing BHYouth for the night to come together in worship and prayer as the next generation!! We will gather from 6:8:30 PM.
Living Room will not be at the Annex (3177 VB Blvd). Instead, we will hang at BHYouth’s location at New Life Town Center located at 420 Thalia Rd.
Overflow parking is available at the school across the street and several street parking spots in front of the church property.
INSTEAD of meeting at our usual location at New Life Town Center for youth group, on Wednesday April 23 from 6-8:30 PM, we are having a bonfire at the Landon’s house! We’ll have games, smores, and an epic fire! Food provided as well.
We are excited for another combined Easter Sunday service at 10 AM at the Chesapeake Conference Center in the Greenbrier area. Bring your friends and family for a beautiful time celebrating our Risen Lord!

Over Spring Break, Campus Ministries at Regent University is hosting a “Homefront Mission Trip,” where their students serve the community, share the Gospel, and grow spiritually. As part of this mission, they are inviting local youth groups to join us for a special Wednesday Night UnChapel on March 12th.
Here’s the plan:
