Welcome to Big House Kids!
We offer kids ministry for infants through 5th grade. If it’s your first time, our Big House Kids staff will take your personal information: parent’s names, children’s names, birthdates, phone number, and any special instructions at kids check-in. Children will be offered snacks and refreshments, so please advise us of allergies or dietary restrictions.
DURING CLASS
During class, your child can expect spirit-filled teaching, a time of musical worship, AND FUN! While in our care, your child’s safety is paramount. All our volunteers pass a background check and go through a training process to volunteer. We also implement a tag system with the guardian’s number for check in, which helps us reach parents who are in the sanctuary. Additionally, we have a paid security officer and safety team in place to ensure our kids areas are properly monitored and kept safe.

I am so honored to get to participate in training and equipping the next generation as the VB Kids Assistant Director. The Lord has blessed my wife, Alex, and I with the opportunity to teach kids more about Him and His heart for them. We have been at Big House for the past seven years and have been involved with the Kids Ministry since the early days of the VB Campus. We were both born and raised in Hampton Roads and plan on raising our own family here as well. We love serving at Big House, and we are so grateful that we get to be involved in the lives of your families. The Lord is doing a great work in these young ones; they are learning to grasp authority in and through Holy Spirit. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of their journey!

My husband, Stan, and I are thrilled to have our family be a part of Big House. We have four daughters that you will definitely see helping with VB Kids! My eldest are involved with Big House Youth and my younger ones can’t wait to join them. We are originally from Northwest New Jersey where we are a part of a group of families called Revival Kids. We linked arms with other moms, dads, aunts and grandparents to pour into children through worship, hearing Holy Spirit, and expressing that through the arts and dance. We look forward to connecting and sharing more of our story with you. Know that we pray for your children weekly. We want to get to know them and you as a family; to express how they are special and seen by their Heavenly Father.

About a year after calling Big House my church home, I relocated from Chesapeake to Ghent feeling the call of the Lord to participate in what he was and is cultivating in this house. I have called this church home for the last 3 1/2 years and there is simply no place I would rather be! I have the honor of serving and loving our young adults on Living Room leadership, previously leading and discipling high school girls at a local district through a ministry called Young Life. I have worked in education administration at different capacities through the years, am a Theology student at Regent University, and reside in beautiful Norfolk! I am passionately devoted to intercession for this house, this ministry, our BH kids and families. My heart is ignited for the fruit born out of what is cultivated in the secret place, worship in spirit and in truth, and I believe that access extends to ALL ages! I am thrilled to partner with our Big House kids and families in all ways to see that harvest through!
