To cultivate a community of passionate worshippers who partner with Jesus to create Kingdom culture on earth as it is in heaven.
Core Values
1. Love God - We believe in one true God who created all things and sustains all things. We believe God has revealed himself as a Divine Trinity throughout Scripture: God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that God desires intimate relationship with us. By faith we can cultivate personal relationship with God through worship, prayer and scripture. To know and spread God's love is the highest aim of humanity.
2. Love People- We believe in family and we value people because we are all made in the image of God. Through faith in Jesus Christ we have been cleansed from sin and brought near to God and called sons and daughters of God. Big House is committed to growing authentic community through the love of Jesus Christ and encouraging the unique gifts and calling of each individual.
3. Worship - We value worship in all its creative forms for its ability to unveil the glory and goodness of God. God is spirit and those who worship do so in spirit and in the truth that Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God. Artistry and Creativity play an essential role in shaping the shared values, culture and course of society. Big House is a seedbed for artists and creative expression.
4. Spiritual Formation - We value the partnership between followers of Jesus and the Holy Spirit through the use of spiritual gifts. Supernatural encounters with the presence of God are crucial catalysts for personal and cultural transformation. We believe God's power flows through his people by faith and we are empowered to build the Kingdom of God on the earth as it is in heaven. Spiritual Formation is all about being transformed in to the image of God, and that will bring the deepest level of freedom and peace that will release you into your calling.
What we believe
God – We believe there is one God represented in three distinct persons: God the Father, Jesus the son, and the Holy Spirit. Isaiah 43:10,11 & Matthew 28:19
Man – We believe man was created in the image of God. Mankind became sinful through rebellion and is in need of salvation and redemption. Gen 1:26, 27, Ps. 51:5 & Romans 7:5
Salvation – We believe that salvation comes only by faith in Jesus Christ. John 3:36 & Romans 10:9-10
Resurrection – We believe in the bodily resurrection of and physical return of Jesus Christ. Luke 24:38-43
Word of God - The Holy Bible, and only the Bible, is the authoritative Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining all doctrinal truths. In its original writing, it is inspired, infallible and inerrant. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26
Church – We believe that the church is the family of God, a spiritual house of believers. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. 2 Peter 2:5
Holy Spirit – We believe that Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity and is active in the world today. We embrace the baptism and gifts of the Holy Spirit as an integral part of our life. John 14:16-17 & 1 Cor. 12:7-11
Baptism and Communion – We believe all believers in Christ should receive water baptism and communion as integral parts of church life, and communion should be practiced regularly. Acts 2:38, Matthew 28:19 & Luke 22:14-20
Marriage and Human Sexuality- We believe God created two genders, male and female. Marriage is a sacred, covenantal bond entered before God between one man and one woman and instituted as part of God’s created order for all mankind. Matthew 19:4-6
