Ephesians 5:15-16 (ESV)
15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
Colossians 3:17 (ESV)
17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Romans 8:26 (ESV)
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
1 Corinthians 12:11 (ESV)
11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.
In the hectic pace of life in the 21st century, we can easily become overwhelmed, confused, short-tempered, and worldly. Here is a simple prayer that is meant to bring us back to a place of peace, confidence, and strength.
Prayer: “Lord, I have so much to do, and it is all important. People are depending on me, and so I am relying on You. Help me to not get lost in the dizzying details and frantic pace. Give me wisdom to set priorities, a peacefulness to calm my cohorts, and strength to compensate for my weaknesses. Lord, Help me manage time and resources, so that I can be a good steward. Guide my steps and keep me safe from the cares of this world.” Amen.
