This Christmas we are excited to partner with Mercy Chefs to bring comfort and joy to some folks who are in short supply of both: victims of Hurricane Michael. Thousands of families in the Florida panhandle were made homeless in October after the hurricane hit their community. Many are living in motels, partially collapsed buildings, and even tents. Every Sunday until December 16, you can find a Gift Card Tree in the cafe during service, with cards of varying amounts ready to be purchased at the iPad stations. Mercy Chefs will distribute all purchased cards to struggling families in the Panama City Beach area of Florida. Please prayerfully consider what you can contribute to help this community in need!

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international relief organization. Their mission is to provide local partners around the world with shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items, and school supplies as a means of reaching out to children in their own communities with the Good News of Jesus Christ. They ship these simple gifts outside the United States to children affected by war, poverty, natural disaster, famine, and disease; and to children living on Native American reservations in the U.S. This year, Big House Church is partnering with this organization to help pack these shoeboxes. Everything you need to learn how to pack a shoebox gift can be found here . That includes what kind of box to use, what items can be included, how to learn the destination of your shoebox gift, and much more! Just pick up a box in the kids wing and bring it back by December 23rd!
